I usually try to avoid making declarative statements in my reviews because such statements usually come back to haunt I usually learn a couple things reading the comments that follow and other people’s reviews.  Today though I can’t help myself.  Max Factory’s 1/8th scale VN02 Miku Hatsune PVC from the Vocaloid franchise is simply one of the best, if not the best, figure of 2010.

Nope, no review today. Between closing out a number of things from my old job and getting ready for school (which starts in less than a week) I couldn’t find the time to get a review together. It’s a shame too because I had a great one planned for today. Oh, and it’s probably best not to expect a review for next Monday either. I’ll be moving into the dorms next weekend so that’s going to eat up most of my time.

The good news is that this weekend wasn’t completely lost as I was able to hammer out no less than six photo shoots. The significance of that? With those six shoots I completed the last of the figure shoots I needed to be able to continue doing reviews during my first semester. Since I’m not taking my collection with me I needed to build up a reserve and that’s all done now. So for better or worse I’ll still be around and sharing my nonsensical ramblings and figure reviews with you even while I’m at school. Just give me the next two weeks so I can get situated to the new environment.

After the sudden influx of high quality figures last week the relative lightness of this week is a welcome reprieve.  Sure there were a few more than Yuki released this week but she felt like the only one worth getting into.  So let’s get cracking.

In a fantastic yet oh so expensive move a number of the figures previewed at Wonder Festival 2010 Summer have already made it to the pre-order circuit.  There are still a few remaining from the show that have no release and that I’m eagerly anticipating more information on but I wouldn’t have guessed we’d see Taka Tony’s Miku so soon.  Not that I’m complaining, mind you.
