Polyvinyl Crush

So my tests are done and over!  (Yay!)  While I came out of them looking a lot nicer than old Megs here, I’m completely bushed but the extra hours of studying were worth it.  The good news is that I scored better than I had been on the practice tests, so I’m really pleased with myself.  Now we’ll just have to see how the chips fall with the applications.

This gallery is mostly Cosplay pics. I’m not like an authority on cosplaying or anything, but these are just some I thought were interesting. I had intended to take pictures of everything, but in the dealers room I was too busy looking for stuff to buy. For those of you who have not seen the dealers room at a large convention, it is an epic sight to behold. For this year this is all I have.

We were going out to get something to eat and I saw this girl smoking a cigarette and I thought to myself “she’s so punk fucking rock.” and I had a feeling like I saw a famous person. Then I saw her friend and I realized they were cosplaying as Nana and Hachi from Nana. I think it’s my personal favorite of the convention because I didn’t think “cosplayers” first I thought “wow that’s Nana and Hachi!” and I was totally stoked. Read the rest of this entry →

Just got back from Otakon. More pics and thoughts to come later! Just wanted to pop in and say HI!

Man, Otakon 2K9 was an absolute blast!  There was rockin’ music, interesting panels, good anime playing, lots of otaku-ness on display through cosplay, fan-art, AMVs, and parodies.  There was also tons of merchandise, of course, but I managed to stay composed and not go overboard.

OK, maybe I wasn’t so composed, but I only went a little overboard.
