Just got back from Otakon. More pics and thoughts to come later! Just wanted to pop in and say HI!

p.s. good to be back(on the site, being back from Otakon is not so good.  I want to go back already.)

So I was lying when I said you wouldn’t notice a difference after we did the upgrade.  I should have read the the upgrade instructions better because apparently some themes are incompatible with WordPress 2.7 and it just so happens that the one we were using was one of them.   So I picked a new theme one the quick (the default theme was making me sick).  Think of it as temporary while we continue working out the kinks.

We also “lost” our old tags.  I put “lost” quotes becase we had been using a plug-in to do tags and WordPress 2.7 has that functionality built in.  I’m hoping there is a way to translate.

Wanted to let you all know that we are going to upgrade our WordPress software tomorrow.  If all goes according to plan, Polyvinyl Crush will be down for a couple hours while we do the upgrade, but when we return we’ll have shed ourselves of the old and busted WordPress v2.2 and we’ll be back with the new and shinny WordPress v2.7!  You’ll probably notice zero difference on your end, but for us it’s the first step in a much needed site redesign.

Yeah so we’ve been really good about doing the every Monday Friday gallery thing, but sometimes things get in the way. It’s my fault completely… because it was my turn…. I’ll do something extra special next week… promise.

Sorry I had to rush off like a second ago, but I didn’t know where I could fit in what I had to say here in the last post. I guess I could have just added it to the end, but I think it’s a little more important than an “oh by the way”. There are some new things coming to Polyvinyl Crush, we’re enabling comments and we’re adding a new member. This new member has not chosen a name yet so in this post he will be referred to as “new member”. Anyway, he will be covering new fan subs weekly. He’s going to start off with Code Geass R2 and Bleach. He’s also going to be doing some music reviews. We feel that these new features will be a great addition to the site. Again feel free to comment on his reviews, or write anything in the comments section, because they’re enabled now. We’d also think it’d be cool if there were some discussions generated on the site… it gets lonely around here sometimes. Hope to see you around. -B
