After the sudden influx of high quality figures last week the relative lightness of this week is a welcome reprieve.  Sure there were a few more than Yuki released this week but she felt like the only one worth getting into.  So let’s get cracking.

In a fantastic yet oh so expensive move a number of the figures previewed at Wonder Festival 2010 Summer have already made it to the pre-order circuit.  There are still a few remaining from the show that have no release and that I’m eagerly anticipating more information on but I wouldn’t have guessed we’d see Taka Tony’s Miku so soon.  Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

Wonder Festival 2010 Summer occurred this last weekend and I’m sure by now you’ve all seen all the coverage from other fans who actually live in Japan and/or have the resources to travel to the event.  I have neither so I have to steal borrow from those that do so I can share my thoughts.  The most impressive thing about this Wonfes?  There didn’t look to be a single swimsuit figure in the bunch.

Either this week was pretty void of quality PVC figure announcements or I wasn’t paying attention to all the right channels (which is also a rather strong possibility).  It seemed like a great week to be a GK fan but for those of us without the crazy skills needed to actually produce one ourselves we were left with few options.  Which is fine, because I’d be broke if I spent money on figures every week.

An interesting thing happened this week: two Fate figures went up for preorder.  While it’s not totally unheard of for two of the same character to be announced the same week it is a little weird that they both were of the same design and from the same source.  It makes for a real interesting comparison and on a number of levels.  I have my favorite and I’m sure you have yours.  Here are the figures I’m excited about this week.
