There seems to be an absence of quality Eureka PVCs in the market (I can think of three of them and one’s that Griffon monstrosity). Maybe it’s because unlike other well-known otaku archetypes she slowly grows into a character, or maybe it’s because her eyes weren’t red, but it was probably because MegaHouse wiped the floor with the competition with their rendition of Eureka.

New merchandise for Neon Genesis Evangelion has been coming out almost monthly since the series concluded its broadcast over ten years ago, and as an Eva-fanboy I couldn’t be happier. Slightly different from the animation model this sculpt tries to show more maturity in Rei’s face and eyes, capturing her solemness perfectly. It may be too much of a change for some but it’s nice to see a Rei figure stand out from the other gajillion out there.
