Polyvinyl Crush

Despite my love for Lucky Star I’ve only seen half the series.  I stopped watching the fansubs halfway through because I wanted something to look forward to when the domestic release came out.  So I only really know two of the five characters in Good Smile Company’s Lucky Star Petit Nendoroid Vol. 2 set, but those two and my love for the show were enough to make this a must have.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you who visit this site and those who don’t =)! This week’s top 10 finally has a song that I like in the number 1 spot and to be honest, I was quite surprised that it sold this much in its first week. This week there were actually two singles that came out that I really liked, the number 1 and 2 single for this week, so obviously I will be writing about those two. With the conclusion of one story we move on to the next. This time it is Tieria’s story which as a whole is part of a bigger picture in the Gundam 00 story. In this episode we find out what the Aeolia’s entire plan was and what the purpose of the Innovators are. We also get some unexpected encounters between some characters, however no action occurs in this episode at all. That doesn’t necessarily make it bad though, story/character development is always good. Gundam 00 S2 is getting interesting but not quite up to par with R2, it just set the bar too high for me.

I’m more of a Rin fan, but I like Saber enough not to mind that she is the heroine of the Fate/stay night anime.  That said, I do feel there are too many PVCs of her on the market.  I promised you all that I’d take a break from Saber galleries and focus on other figures from the Fate franchise, but Good Smile Company’s 1/8th scale Saber PVC – second in awesomeness only to the Clayz sculpt – had to come along and turn me into a filthy liar.

I had my reservations about Eye Up’s 1/8th scale Yoko PVC: she was extremely pricey for an 1/8th scale figure and none of the official images made her look appealing. But the Gurren Lagann fan in me wanted to think this was a good figure so I waited until I had a chance to see her in person. I was floored and I bought her and now I’m posting about it. This Yoko figure is beautiful and well crafted. The fact that I couldn’t sleep for two hours after watching the end of Gurren Lagann because I was so pumped AMAZING ENGING has not colored my perception of this figure at all.
