Another big day, still a small room
I really hesitate to do this, especially considering the misfortune of the-biggest-Horo-fan-I-know-Aka, but I really wanted to share my latest haul with you all. Hopefully, Aka won’t come down from the Great White North and beat me silly over getting Horo before him.
I live in Florida~
.
So the break down is (starting top, moving right):
- Horo (Good Smile Company).
- Louise Gothic Punk Ver. (Alter).
- Hime Yarizakura (Kotobukiya).
- Sakura Nanyoku (Good Smile Company).
- Extravenganza Mikuru (Max Factory).
- Extravenganza Yuki (Max Factory).
- figma Kagami – Miku Cosply Ver. (Mac Factory).
- Nendoroid Kagami – Miku Cosply Ver. (Good Smile Company).
- .
There are less goodies in number in this haul when compared to my last, but I think this one had a higher percentage of top tier figures. With big name characters like Horo, Louise, Yuki, and Kagami and skilled companies like Max Factory, Good Smile Company, and Alter, how can you go wrong?
I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite out of this bunch – they’re all so cute! My gut is to say it’s Yuki (in all her aloof rock star awesomeness) but then I see Sakura in her yukata. Then I see Louise in her delectable goth outfit. Then Horo. Then Hime. Then I even notice how cute Mikuru actually is before finally looping back up to Yuki. Lather, rinse, repeat. After I go around in that loop a couple of times I completely lose myself in thoughts of cute girls.
out for now,
Rico-sama

Oh dear. I see why there was a need for forgiveness.
Nice haul, ya bastard lol.
I think I could pick a favourite easily, but if we ignore the obivious, I think it’s a mashup between Goth Louise and Rock Yuki. I was iffy on both of those figures, but after seeing some pictures in various places, they’ve grown on me.
Oh yeah, and… I guess you’re forgiven. I wont come down to Florida to beat you silly. Though the main reason may be my lack of passport to get me across the border. I should really get one of those.
-Aka
Gomenasai!
I didn’t know about your situation until after I finished this post (though I did go back and change the opening).
The lack of a passport for border crossing doesn’t give me much assurance. I mean, we couldn’t even stop that bozo with the drug resistant strain of tuberculous from crossing from Canada and there was a warrant out for him.
Thankfully though, there are people out there to protect me.
Are they the same people protecting that video from Canadians? (I can’t view it, region restrictions). But via the wonders of proxies, I viewed it anyway. There’s no protection for you ‘mericans! Especially if I cross at night apparently.
But that’s 2006, this is 2009. In 2006 all we needed to cross into the US was our drivers license and a birth certificate. Now we need a passport, thank you George dubya Bush.
Anyhoo, no worries. You’ll get yours some day! I er I mean, no worries.

It was region locked? Damn, sorry ’bout that. Since it was a Daily Show clip, I didn’t expect them to be so hard lined about that. But I forgot that Viacom is Comedy Central’s parent company.
Oh, and since you took me seriously, the Flordia bit was a feint to throw you off my tracks. The few who know me in real life will probably be pointing that out at some point.
No, I really live in Arizona.
Yeah TDS is region locked… No issues, proxies ftw.
I have no reason to go to Arizona, at least Florida had Disney World and friends, what’s Arizona got? But I’m smarter than that, I don’t think you live in either of those places. Infact I know which state you live in, I have my sources.
I wanted to go to Disney World again.

PS: June’s been too expensive, everything shipped today. 7 figures in one day.
Oooooo. Seven figures? What did you get?
I’ll post when they arrive. Though some may take a while… I forgot to select EMS and instead had them sent SAL. 7-45 days is a bit unreasonable…
I too received Louise, Hime Yarizakura, Sakura Nanyoku, Extravenganza Mikuru Yuki, and the Kagami/Miku cosply figma late last week!
I haven’t gotten around to unboxing them all, but the early results (Sakura Nanyoku and Louise) are very good! I really really like the Sakura figure. Wow. It’s a simple design, and maybe that won’t really capture the imaginations of a lot of people, but it’s just well done in my opinion. I’m really glad I ordered it. The Louise is just really cute. And the layered, frilled skirt is particularly well done.
I haven’t actually opened any of them yet!
I’m really bad about that, actually. It’ll sometimes take me weeks to open figures I get. That only used to happen to me with figmas and nendoroids, but now it even effects the larger figures.
Wow, nice haul! The Horo figure is one of the nicest I’ve seen so far, with the exception of the Japan exclusive Volks one you mentioned about three weeks back. I really like the Gekisou Haruhi figures, and I’m hoping to pick them up at a decent price at a convention, along with the Max Factory Konjiki no Yami figure. :3
What part of Florida do you hail from? I’m in the St. Petersburg area. Do you go to any Anime conventions?
Ah, nevermind. Read the other message and see your from Arizona.
Haha, sorry man. I picked Florida just because it was the furthest I could get away from Canada while still being in the US.
Though Aka seems to think I don’t live in Arizona either. I wonder what his “sources” are telling him?
If you do see the Gekisou figures at any cons this year pick them up – no matter the cost, haha! Seriously though, I think they are the nicest Haruhi figures to date (especially Yuki).
So far I find Kotobukiya’s Horo to be the best. While I have not laid my hands on the Good Smile Company one yet and can’t be sure. So far I still like Kotos better. But I suppose they both resembled different mediums renditions of the character.
@Rico, I do not wish to reveal my sources publicly!
That is quite the haul my friend. Pick the Yuki, always pick the Yuki.
Thanks for commenting, Rich. Hope to see you around more.
