Nice Haul!
“Saber Lily came in,” my local anime store owner messaged me. “You had better not be joking,” my reply was. Luckily for him he wasn’t! Not only was Saber Lily waiting for me on Friday when I walked into the store, but Uplark’s Nia, GSC’s Nendoroid Saber Lily, and three new Lucky Star “summer version” figma’s were as well. Still waiting on Kagamin and then the summer figma harem will be complete. :3

And now for something completely different
So I’ve decided to go back to graduate school and finish off my education. I’m in the middle of studying for my GRE’s (have been for a few weeks now) and test date is a little over two weeks away so it’s really getting to be crunch time for me. On top of that I’ve still got my life to live (got a good friend getting married next weekend) so time is very much in absence right now.
Long story short is that I’m putting the site on the back burner for a bit. I’ll try to keep up with the upcoming PVCs part and I’ll definitely respond to comments and e-mails, but reviews and anything else will be non-existent for the next couple of weeks (hence the haul post for today). The good news is that it should only be for a couple of weeks because while I’ll still be working on the applications after I’ve finished the GREs, they shouldn’t be nearly as time consuming. But if you notice the site looking dead for a while, now you’ll know why.

Nice haul with two Saber Lily version. They are nice, I prefer the normal version, but the Nendoroid have a cute face.
Nendoroids are cute; that’s pretty much the only reason to get them I feel.

And good job on the figures, nice to get texted by the store owner. I love my Saber Lily Nendoroid, the best one yet. I want Saber Lily Distant Avalon, but I went for the Saber Alter Maid limited instead.

Store owner and I are actually good friends, so he does that when an item he knows I’ve been waiting for comes in. Did the same thing with Evangelion 1.0 earlier in the week. Let me know how that Alter version turns out. I could’ve easily seen myself getting that one had GSC not beaten Alter to the punch.

It’s gonna be hard to try and study while, at the same time, to try and not think about doing a review of Saber, lol. Especially after seeing Aka’s fantastic review.
I do not approve of you putting the site on the back-burner! You have hundreds of figures that need reviews, I think you need to focus all your efforts on the site and ignore your future!

Good luck with the upcoming test and the whole back to school thing. I have a few friends doing that and they’ve found it hard to get back into school mode.
Also, I feel like I need to purchase more figmas… I own 4 now, though 3 are the same character lol.

A part of that is tempting. Studying for this exam is tough and stressful but doing figure reviews is fun and relaxing. I’ll be back to my darkroom soon enough though.

I’ve actually missed the whole school atmosphere so hopefully it won’t be that hard to adjust (provided I get in anywhere, of course).
I’m partial to figma’s, so you’ll only ever hear me say “you need more”, even if three are the same character. I like the Lucky Star ones because they are so expressive.
All I’ve to say is good luck. There’s nothing more important than figu…studies. After all, study->job->money->figures is the true path of life.

Actually I don’t think I really would want that; I feel it would lose a lot of it’s magic.
It would. I really love figures, but I don’t think I can do that as a profession. It doesn’t really suit my tastes. Now, if you were say game developer or professional game journalist with a high income, then I’d be in. The reason why I added “with a high income” is because I’ve done game journalism before and love alone won’t pay your bills.
