I had a nice little treat waiting for me at my local store when I stopped by earlier in the week. And by little I really mean HUGE. Looks like whatever production issues that seemed to universally and negatively impact figure manufactures late last year has been resolved because the floodgates of figure goodness were opened wide this week.

I was pondering which figure to review today as I had quite a few that came in while I was doing my school applications; many of which remain un-opened. However, I happened to glance at my shelf and soon realized that I had gone months without giving this phenomenal figure a proper review. A tremendous error on my part to be sure but one that I’m correcting today. Today we’re taking a look at Alter’s 1/8 scale Narika Shihoudou PVC from Beat Blades Haruka.

I had expected my absence from posting during the holidays to yield a larger figure pool to talk about; similar to what happened when I returned from my previous break. There were a number of announcements but only a few of them I felt were worth talking about. There are a couple coming down the pipe from Comiket 77, but since there haven’t been official announcements for those I decided to leave them off. No figure review today due to the recent holidays, end of the year festivities, and just wanting to chill out. I’m also going to be turning in all my applications this week and that has been on my mind as well. There’s also a strong possibility of no Friday post either due to the (currently unforeseen) side effects of exuberant celebrations of ringing in the New Year the night prior.
Taking the cue from Aka’s recent wishlist I thought it would be fun for me to try my hand at it as well. I thought it would be something fun for the Christmas week as well as easy to write considering I spent the better part of yesterday digging my car out of two feet of snow. Following what Aka did with his I’m also trying to make a true wishlist; meaning these are figures I wish I had but are either hard to obtain, exorbitantly expensive, and/or don’t actually exist but I would like to see made. Santa Yuki is one of them. :3
