There wasn’t much to talk about this week with new figures; I bought Shoujo S and managed to get on the second order for Azusa but that was pretty much it. So I was a little worried about the content of today’s post since there wasn’t much to talk about. Thankfully my store had a shipment of new figures come and one of them - *SHOCK* - I regret getting! Can you tell which one?

I had a nice little treat waiting for me at my local store when I stopped by earlier in the week. And by little I really mean HUGE. Looks like whatever production issues that seemed to universally and negatively impact figure manufactures late last year has been resolved because the floodgates of figure goodness were opened wide this week.

“Saber Lily came in,” my local anime store owner messaged me. “You had better not be joking,” my reply was. Luckily for him he wasn’t! Not only was Saber Lily waiting for me on Friday when I walked into the store, but Uplark’s Nia, GSC’s Nendoroid Saber Lily, and three new Lucky Star “summer version” figma’s were as well. Still waiting on Kagamin and then the summer figma harem will be complete. :3

Had a nice haul come in earlier in the week and a lot of the (long overdue) figures I had been waiting on finally came in. Seems like it’s a bit of a trend with the place I order from - to hold the order until there is enough to bulk ship. Not really complaining though. After all, it makes for a substantive post.

Man, Otakon 2K9 was an absolute blast! There was rockin’ music, interesting panels, good anime playing, lots of otaku-ness on display through cosplay, fan-art, AMVs, and parodies. There was also tons of merchandise, of course, but I managed to stay composed and not go overboard.
OK, maybe I wasn’t so composed, but I only went a little overboard.
