There wasn’t much to talk about this week with new figures; I bought Shoujo S and managed to get on the second order for Azusa but that was pretty much it. So I was a little worried about the content of today’s post since there wasn’t much to talk about. Thankfully my store had a shipment of new figures come and one of them - *SHOCK* - I regret getting! “Saber Lily came in,” my local anime store owner messaged me. “You had better not be joking,” my reply was. Luckily for him he wasn’t! Not only was Saber Lily waiting for me on Friday when I walked into the store, but Uplark’s Nia, GSC’s Nendoroid Saber Lily, and three new Lucky Star “summer version” figma’s were as well. Still waiting on Kagamin and then the summer figma harem will be complete. :3

I held of on reviewing this figure for a while since I have such mixed feelings about it: I love Konata’s face and coloring, but the detailing and pose are kinda lackluster. I decided do Konata anyway because it could be an interesting discussion. That and we need the bump in traffic associated with people searching for “Lucky Star” in Google. Today we’re taking a look at Clayz’s 1/8th scale Konata Izumi PVC from Lucky Star.

Still haven’t fully recovered from Otakon and I’m looking forward to just kicking back and relaxing this weekend. But before that I wanted to get to the figures I’m exited about. There was actually a lot that went on order this week (and the time while I was at Otakon), but only a few gems stood out in my minds eye.

Here’s this week’s batch of figures and they’re all big names from big franchises. I’d consider that an achievement. Not just because there are no exclusives in this bunch, but because I tend to gravitate towards the more perculiar figures. So this is a bit of a rarity given my tendencies, but I can’t help it. When four companies release amazing figures at the same time, all I can do is share with you the figures I’m excited about.
