Buruma, and sukumizu, and shimapan! Oh, moe!

Today we have three different girls from three different series with three different personalities and three different companies showcasing three different moe.  What do they all have in common?  That I’m excited by all of them (to varying degrees, of course).

Max Factory VN02 Miku Hatsune PVC: Vocaloid

I usually try to avoid making declarative statements in my reviews because such statements usually come back to haunt I usually learn a couple things reading the comments that follow and other people’s reviews.  Today though I can’t help myself.  Max Factory’s 1/8th scale VN02 Miku Hatsune PVC from the Vocaloid franchise is simply one of the best, if not the best, figure of 2010.

The Disappearance of Rico’s Money

In a fantastic yet oh so expensive move a number of the figures previewed at Wonder Festival 2010 Summer have already made it to the pre-order circuit.  There are still a few remaining from the show that have no release and that I’m eagerly anticipating more information on but I wouldn’t have guessed we’d see Taka Tony’s Miku so soon.  Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

Wonder Festival 2010 Summer

Wonder Festival 2010 Summer occurred this last weekend and I’m sure by now you’ve all seen all the coverage from other fans who actually live in Japan and/or have the resources to travel to the event.  I have neither so I have to steal borrow from those that do so I can share my thoughts.  The most impressive thing about this Wonfes?  There didn’t look to be a single swimsuit figure in the bunch.

Giant scythes win this day

Either this week was pretty void of quality PVC figure announcements or I wasn’t paying attention to all the right channels (which is also a rather strong possibility).  It seemed like a great week to be a GK fan but for those of us without the crazy skills needed to actually produce one ourselves we were left with few options.  Which is fine, because I’d be broke if I spent money on figures every week.

Max Factory Mai Tokiha PVC: My-HiME

Taking a break from the recent releases with today’s post and bring you all a figure from the good old days of 2006.  Yes, that means this figure is four years old.  I wish I aged this well.  Today we’re talking a look at Max Factory’s 1/6th scale Mai Tokiha from My-HiME.
