Polyvinyl Crush

In a fantastic yet oh so expensive move a number of the figures previewed at Wonder Festival 2010 Summer have already made it to the pre-order circuit.  There are still a few remaining from the show that have no release and that I’m eagerly anticipating more information on but I wouldn’t have guessed we’d see Taka Tony’s Miku so soon.  Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

Ah, I love it when a new haul comes in.  Although I guess technically these figures shouldn’t be considered part of a single haul since they came in over the course of a couple weeks and from various sources, but I’m making them part of the same haul.  Yes, I have that power.

It felt like a good weekend to just be lazy around the house and it was one of the few times I really didn’t feel like doing a review. Then I remembered I had just gotten these little gems and thought they would be the perfect filler this week. Today we’re taking a look at Good Smile Company’s Petit Nendoroid Vol. 1 figure series from the Vocaloid franchise.

There wasn’t much to talk about this week with new figures; I bought Shoujo S and managed to get on the second order for Azusa but that was pretty much it.  So I was a little worried about the content of today’s post since there wasn’t much to talk about.  Thankfully my store had a shipment of new figures come  and one of them – *SHOCK* – I regret getting!  Can you tell which one?

I had a nice little treat waiting for me at my local store when I stopped by earlier in the week.  And by little I really mean HUGE.  Looks like whatever production issues that seemed to universally and negatively impact figure manufactures late last year has been resolved because the floodgates of figure goodness were opened wide this week.

Figure makers were out in full force this week with Kotobukiya in particular representing the industry.  Not only did they put out announcements for plethora of pleasing PVCs, but they also officially announced one of the greatest figures in recent memory that I’ve seen from them.  Of course, with Kotobukiya, it’s their game to lose.
