Wonder Festival 2010 Summer occurred this last weekend and I’m sure by now you’ve all seen all the coverage from other fans who actually live in Japan and/or have the resources to travel to the event.  I have neither so I have to steal borrow from those that do so I can share my thoughts.  The most impressive thing about this Wonfes?  There didn’t look to be a single swimsuit figure in the bunch.

So an interesting thing happened to me as I was writing this post: I ordered Clalaclan.  Not so interesting at this point no but, in the course of writing Clalaclan’s section, I started second guessing myself so I re-wrote the post and went to cancel my order but then convinced myself that I should keep her.  Then, when I almost had the post changed back, I saw something else I thought I didn’t like, completely started the post over, and almost canceled her again.  Rinse, lather, and repeat.  Right now she’s still on order but I need help to rinse away this doubt of mine.  Oh, and I apologize if my post is more nonsensical than usual, as re-writing it several times was tough on me and I’m not known for my self-editing anyway.

My forecast absence on Monday went off exactly like I thought it would since I was juggling too many things that weekend.  My absence the rest of the week after Monday was not forecast nor was it expected, but that tends to happen when you wait until the last minute to file your taxes.  I’ve got something in mind to make up for the absence though.  I the meantime here are the figures I was excited about this week.

Technically Kureha was released last week so I should have covered her then, but  I usually write this segment on Thursday nights and news about Kureha broke after I had finished writing and I never bothered to double check.  So I wasn’t even aware of her existence until Aka pointed her out the next Friday.  Not including her in last weeks post was a bit of a lucky break for me though because this week saw some pretty lackluster announcements so now I actually have something to talk about.

Another light week, another Shining Wind figure to save the day.  Almost like it was planned in advance or something.  Clalaclan isn’t quite as jaw-dropingly good as Max Factory’s recent Seena was but she’s got her own charm and, baring any last minute announcements, she’s the only figure from this week I think it worth talking about.
