In a fantastic yet oh so expensive move a number of the figures previewed at Wonder Festival 2010 Summer have already made it to the pre-order circuit.  There are still a few remaining from the show that have no release and that I’m eagerly anticipating more information on but I wouldn’t have guessed we’d see Taka Tony’s Miku so soon.  Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

So as you may have noticed there was no post on Monday.  You also may have noticed that I went very long without responding to any of your comments from the Wonder Festival 2010 Summer post.  Both of those are because I spent all of this last weekend at Otakon 2010.  It probably won’t make up for not having done a proper review but here is my haul from the convention anyway.

So an interesting thing happened to me as I was writing this post: I ordered Clalaclan.  Not so interesting at this point no but, in the course of writing Clalaclan’s section, I started second guessing myself so I re-wrote the post and went to cancel my order but then convinced myself that I should keep her.  Then, when I almost had the post changed back, I saw something else I thought I didn’t like, completely started the post over, and almost canceled her again.  Rinse, lather, and repeat.  Right now she’s still on order but I need help to rinse away this doubt of mine.  Oh, and I apologize if my post is more nonsensical than usual, as re-writing it several times was tough on me and I’m not known for my self-editing anyway.

This last week was looking pretty grim when it came to new figure announcements but along came this little gem which completely changed an otherwise boring week for the better.  Baring any unforeseen announcements between Thursday night (when I wrote this post) and Friday morning (when I posted this post) Seena remains my sole highlight from this last week.  But really, with a figure this good I don’t think I need any more than this.

Taking the cue from Aka’s recent wishlist I thought it would be fun for me to try my hand at it as well.  I thought it would be something fun for the Christmas week as well as easy to write considering I spent the better part of yesterday digging my car out of two feet of snow.  Following what Aka did with his  I’m also trying to make a true wishlist; meaning these are figures I wish I had but are either hard to obtain, exorbitantly expensive, and/or don’t actually exist but I would like to see made.  Santa Yuki is one of them.  :3

Figure makers were out in full force this week with Kotobukiya in particular representing the industry.  Not only did they put out announcements for plethora of pleasing PVCs, but they also officially announced one of the greatest figures in recent memory that I’ve seen from them.  Of course, with Kotobukiya, it’s their game to lose.
